The truly portable St. Andrew’s cross.  We hit this one dead on.  The cross-pinioned X configuration of this St. Andrew style provides a classic standing spread-eagle with either front or backside out. 

Exposure and access are so intrinsic to design that X-style restraints have been much used and well loved both in our dark past and as a modern day tool of sexual expression.  Stationary versions can and have been built from any sturdy materials that come to hand.  Portable versions however are problematic although incredibly useful for Parties and Shows. They usually rely on being big, honkin’ and often ugly to meet structural requirements. Portable versions tend to be unwieldy or unsafe, too big or too flimsy and often unsightly.

So the challenge became to create a truly portable St. Andrew’s cross that was neither big, honkin’, ugly, unwieldy or unsafe.  Balancing the engineering elements to meet strength and stability requirements while retaining aesthetic integrity and portability brought us what we fondly call Portable Andy.  Able to support a healthy, full grown and robust rider in the throes of ecstasy yet it can be assembled in less than five minutes from two 30 pound packages each less than 4 feet long.  Portable Andy is sturdy, stable, extremely portable and hauntingly beautiful.  A truly portable St. Andrews cross.

Andy’s compact, lightweight takedown size makes her an ideal companion at events with restricted, convoluted and over-scrutinized access.  Casual one man assembly in semi-darkness with only the aid of large gripped allan key in just over ten minutes reinforces the choice.  She takes form as her twelve torso studs are snugged in to create an apex block to bolster her limbs and receive her rear support brace.  Her sleek, strong limbs, invitingly outstretched converge gracefully into elegant interlocking V’s at her sturdy reinforced crotch.  With heels dug into solid blocks and secured to the base with two studs apiece, she beckons. Base rails extend from Andy’s outstretched heels converging to a diamond block that secures her rear support brace completing the triangles.   The inter-locking triangles, triangles that spread the load, and triangles that give her the uncanny stability so incongruous to her slender grace.

When you mount Portable Andy’s footboards and relax into her firm embrace either front or backwards, the compound angles in her design offer a startlingly degree of comfort given your splayed-wide positioning.  This optimizes muscle tone for impact, clamping, sensual massage, etc. as well as reducing fatigue for the rider, while retaining all the essential advantages of the standing position.  The tilt is sufficient for a highly skilled artist to combine wax and gravity with uncommonly sinister creativity.  Portable Andy is certainly an erotic implement without compromise.

Scaled up with broader, longer boards Andre is for bigger people or bigger presentations.  Some portability is traded for bulk; his packages being about a foot longer and proportionally bulkier and heavier than his sister’s.  The assembly however is identical.  As is the presentation.  While Andre’s stoic spread over masses his sturdy sister, he is no galumphing giant.  The clean stable set of the family’s triangular lineage is reflected in heavier form.   Andre will be made available with an optional crotch dildo mount for occasions that call for such things.
